Becoming a flight instructor means more than becoming an expert about regulations or learning to fly well from the other seat. A good flight instructor is many things: educator, mentor, cheerleader, friend, authority figure, street corner psychologist, negotiator, and more, often at the same time. Presented by Robert Meder, a longtime flight instructor and former chairman of the National Association of Flight Instructors, this presentation will teach you about the true meaning of being a flight instructor, and how to achieve this goal. At the same time, you will learn that the rewards of being a good instructor are far more meaningful than adding time to your logbook. You will come away with an appreciation of what it means to pass on your knowledge to a new pilot, along with how to cope with sometimes challenging and frustrating situations.
