This presentation is all about transitioning from a military job to an airline flight deck. Those in the military are often well suited for the airlines because of the discipline they have achieved. However, military aviation experience, particularly helicopter flying, is measured differently. ALPA provides a variety of resources to help members of the military transition to an airline flying job. In addition, Tim is a former Army helicopter pilot and one of the founders of RTAG, a separate veteran-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to help all veterans, regardless of experience, jump-start their postmilitary career in the world of aviation.
