CFI for 28 years, with 3900 hours of flight instruction
I have been a flight instructor for 28 years and have given 3900 hours of flight instruction. I specialize in training commercial pilots to become flight instructors both subpart H and sport flight instructors and have extensive experience in training student pilots for sport, private, commercial certificates. I also train students for the multiengine rating. The initial flight instructor certificate requires extensive ground instruction and practice teaching. Most instructors do not have extensive experience training initial flight instructor applicants. My goal is not only to have flight instructor applicants prepared to pass the FAA's rigorous practical examination, but to also be "right seat ready" to exercise the privileges of the flight instructor certificate on day one. I currently work as an FAA Aviation Safety Inspector specializing in Human Factors.
