CFI Instructor, KGMU
Hello! If you're looking for an experienced flight instructor (CFI) with a track-record for success, I'm here to help. I can provide instruction for Private and Commercial Single Engine pilots as well as your instrument add-on in a variety of aircraft. I have access to several Cessna 172's and Piper PA28's including a PA28R Arrow and several Cherokees. I'm also available to train in your own airplane. My training focuses on safety and quality decision making while using a variety of scenario-based training flights and ground lessons. My goal is to create a generation of safe and well-trained pilots who will go on to make our skies safer for everybody. Currently, I work with a part 61 flight school at the Greenville Downtown Airport and my hours are intended to fit the needs of my students. Recently, I've been busy helping prepare the next generation of flight instructors for their checkrides as well as a number of Private Pilot and Instrument add-on applicants.

Pricing Notes
Instruction is always priced at $55 for any flights or grounds in our own classrooms and airplanes. If you bring your own airplane, the cost is $65/hour.

About the instructor
My name is Austin and I have a spirit for adventure! When I'm not flying, you can usually find me rock climbing, running, or working around the house! Growing up, I was a military-brat, moving across the country and Germany - embracing diverse cultures and experiences. Initially, I found a love for the Film and TV industry and spent most of my 20s working in NY and LA. After Covid disrupted my previous way of life, my wife and I found a new beginning here in Greenville, SC. I believe this helps me bring a unique perspective to the world of general aviation. From a young age, I always wanted my Helicopter license but that always felt like a dream I wouldn’t chase. I never really knew I wanted to fly airplanes but that all changed during a scenic discovery flight over Greenville. This experience ignited a fire within me, leading me to complete my training here at Greenville Aviation, where I’ve earned everything from my Private Pilot Certificate through becoming a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Ever since that first flight, I’ve had a deep commitment to aviation and I’m eager to inspire and mentor the next generation of pilots. My goal is dedicated to providing safe, high-quality flight instruction that not only builds skills but also fosters a love for the skies. Maybe one day, I’ll add on that helicopter certificate too.
