Personalized Flight Training - FAA Gold Seal CFI at KSAV
My Aviation Journey I started flying at age 15 and soloed at age 16. After over two decades of flight instructing in mostly single-engine Cessnas as a hobby, in 2022, I retired from full-time ministry and returned to aviation. Destinations where I have flown I accepted a First Officer position with a Part 135 Air Carrier that offered a Second in Command (SIC) training program leading to my Second-in-Command Type Rating in the Embraer 505 Phenom 300 turbojet, as well as a position as First Officer. After flying in this role for one year, in 2023 I completed pilot upgrade training in Dallas, TX, where I earned my Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and Pilot in Command (PIC) Type Rating in the Embraer Phenom 300 (light jet). After upgrade to Captain and honing my PIC skills, another transition was forthcoming. In 2024, I left the charter company so we might move closer to my wife's mother and thus, I returned to my love of teaching joining the team at a large, international professional pilot training center in Savannah as a Pilot Instructor. In Jan 2025, I completed the PIC initial type rating in the Gulfstream G-280 (super mid-size jet) and now I teach simulator and ground school for other pilots seeking the same rating, completing recurrent training, or seeking specialized training programs. INDEPENDENT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR If you're eager to elevate your aviation skills, I'm here to guide you. With over 25 years of flight instruction experience. I specialize in advanced instruction, Flight Reviews, and Instrument Proficiency Checks tailored to your needs and in your aircraft. Please note: I do not own aircraft and thus, I do not offer instruction for Private Pilot certification. I am committed to helping you achieve your aviation dreams. For example, if a lesson lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, the charge would be for 1.5 hours. Flight Review & IPC Charges: The Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) flat rates cover the required minimum time (1 hour of ground + 1 hour of flight for Flight Reviews, and 2 hours for IPCs). If additional time is needed beyond the minimum, it will be charged at $60/hour.
