Western Wyoming Aviation & Eagle Jet Center hosts an AOPA Foundation Rusty Pilots seminar at Afton Lincoln County​/​General Boyd L Eddins Field (AFO) in Afton, WY on Saturday, October 3, 2026, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM MDT. Instruction is by AOPA Foundation Rusty Pilots Presenter Philip Mandel. Rusty Pilots is AOPA's program for lapsed pilots who want to get back in the air. The morning walks through what has changed in general aviation since you last flew and refreshes your aviation knowledge alongside other returning pilots. There is no FAA checkride or test involved, you may not even need a medical certificate, and the session counts for two to three hours of ground instruction toward a flight review. FAA WINGS credit is offered; keep the email address on your FAASafety.gov account current when you register. Cost: free for AOPA members.
