- How does Skyfarer Academy vet flight instructors on the platform?
Skyfarer Academy maintains a high standard for instructors accepted onto the platform. Our goal is to build a diverse base of instructors with a range of training expertise, ensuring we can meet the needs of various student budgets and pilot goals.

- What will I work on with my instructor?
Sessions are designed to be flexible and customized to your unique needs and goals. You’ll coordinate directly with your instructor to create a tailored plan based on your specific objectives, whether it's preparing for a checkride, mastering specific skills, or exploring aviation as a hobby.

- Do you support international students?
Currently, Skyfarer Academy does not support students outside the U.S.

Instructors

- How do I apply to be an instructor?
All new instructors who wish to join Skyfarer Academy will start by submitting an application to us, followed by a vetting process. Only after passing this process will they be allowed to publish a listing and offer their online training on Skyfarer Academy. This ensures that our platform maintains the standards of quality and professionalism. We're excited to learn more about you!

- What qualifications are required to be an instructor on Skyfarer Academy?
Skyfarer Academy instructors typically have extensive experience in aviation, including relevant certifications and training. If you've excelled as an instructor, obtained advanced ratings, or have unique aviation expertise, we encourage you to apply. Many of our instructors work with us part-time while maintaining other roles in the aviation industry. Visit our instructor page for more information and to apply.

- When will I get paid for the training I provide through Skyfarer Academy?
Payouts will occur via Stripe within 24-48 hours of the session/course completed. From that point, it takes Stripe anywhere between 5 to 10 business days to transfer the money to the instructor's bank account.

Our instructors can access the internal Instructor Hub, join our instructor Slack channels, or submit a support request.
