About Skyfarer Academy
Skyfarer Academy is an online platform where instructors can host training for students. Whether you’re passionate about helping students with flight planning, instrument rating, flight sim, ATC communication, aviation english, TAA training/transition or super special areas — we allow you to turn that passion into a sustainable instructor business.
Once your application is accepted, you’ll operate as an independent contractor on the platform and be able to create unlimited classes on almost any topic.
Creating an instructor profile
Anyone with a passion for aviation training and proven expertise in their field(s) can apply to teach on Skyfarer Academy. You can teach anything you're passionate about and let us handle the logistics and find you high quality students.
During the signup & application process, you can expect to:
- Share your qualifications, experience, and a short recording of you teaching a sample class.
- Undergo an identity verification and certificates check.

Set online flight training free: If you’re an instructor interested in joining our community, you can either send us an email at info@skyfareracademy.com or sign up directly for an instructor profile on our website.
Sign up for an instructor profileAll new instructors who wish to join Skyfarer Academy will start by submitting an application to us, followed by a vetting process. Only after passing this process will they be allowed to publish a listing and offer their online training on Skyfarer Academy. This ensures that our platform maintains the standards of quality and professionalism.

1. How are listings booked?
Once a student books a session or course on our website and payment is received, we'll email you with the confirmation. You can then communicate with students using messages to introduce yourself, confirm the date and time, and discuss the objectives.
2. What video platform does Skyfarer Academy use?
We focus on providing instructors with great students while managing all your back-office tasks. All live classes shall take place through Google Meet, a video chat platform. If you're new to Google Meet, don't worry! We’ll guide you through the most useful features and recommended settings.
After our soft launch, we are going to add features that will automatically schedule your 1-on-1 sessions with a Google Meet video link onto your calendar for seamless organization.
3. How we streamline your online training business?
We make sure all of the parts of running an online training business are handled - customer acquisition, support, and back-office tasks.
Our team manages communication with customers for sessions and courses. All you need to focus on is providing great training and meetings.
4. What does it cost? And how do I get paid?
It's free to list training on Skyfarer Academy. We take a 15% service fee from bookings, so we only get paid when we succeed in bringing you students. You have full control over the listed price for a listing and number of participants.
Payouts will occur via Stripe within 24-48 hours of the session/course completed. From that point, it takes Stripe anywhere between 5 to 10 business days to transfer the money to the instructor's bank account.
