Highly Experienced Airplane and Helicopter Instructor
The flight instructor determines the majority of the enjoyment and success you find during your flight training. It can be a difficult task to find the right one, I hope this summary introduces myself and what I believe in training to help you make that decision. [Qualifications] - Airplane: CFI, CFII, and MEI Experience primarily in Cessna and Piper products but experience in numerous other aircraft. Feel free to ask if you have a specific question! - Helicopter: CFI, CFII Robinson experience Robinson safety course SFAR requirements met for Robinson Turbine experience Bell factory trained on Bell Jet Ranger, and Bell 407 - Chief Flight Instructor Worked for a large flight school as the Chief Instructor for both airplane and helicopter TCOs - Initial CFI instruction I have a passion for training initial flight instructor applicants Experience flying in mountainous terrain and high altitude in both airplanes and helicopters While my work and passion has been primarily flight instruction over the past ten years I have also done other commercial work to include flying for a skydive operation, scenic tours, initial attack fire fighting with helicopters, aerial survey, back country mountain airplane charter, heavy lift helicopter operations overseas, and other charter operations in both airplanes and helicopters. It is my belief that learning to fly needs to be a collaborative effort from both student and instructor to help develop the best steps and path depending on each situation. A good instructor is both mentor and guide through the process of completing your certificates or ratings. With any flying operation safety is essential. I believe strongly in not only operating safely but teaching how to make challenging safety/mission balanced decisions and the process for ensuring a successful outcome of each flight. Utilizing scenarios is one of the best ways to ensure safe decision making and risk management are tools you will have for the rest of your flying career. I look forward to flying with you!
