1. Create your instructor account
It’s free and easy. Build your profile listing by adding details about your experience, the training you offer, and adding photographs.
2. Set your time
Choose the dates and times you’d like to offer training—and block out any times you’re unavailable.
3. Get inquiry and booking requests
When students find your listing, they’ll send booking requests that you can review and approve.
4. Train Pilots
After training is completed, payment will be directly deposited in your account. Skyfarer only gets paid when you get paid. It is that easy.

1. How do I receive inquiries and bookings?
You’ll be notified via text and email when a student inquires about your services. You can respond and confirm bookings through the platform.
2. Can I set my own rates?
Yes! Instructors have full control over pricing. You can adjust rates based on training type and demand.
3. How do I get paid?
It’s free to list your instructor profile and training listing pages. We take a 5% fee from bookings (which includes the credit card transaction fee), so we only get paid when we successfully bring you students.
Payouts will occur via Stripe within 24-48 hours of the session/course completed. From that point, it takes Stripe anywhere between 5 to 10 business days to transfer the money to the instructor's bank account.
4. Is Skyfarer Academy a flight school?
No, we are not a flight school. Skyfarer is a platform that connects skilled instructors with motivated students for virtual and in-person pilot training.
5. How do you streamline my training business?
We want the heavy parts of running your training business to be handled - customer acquisition, support, and admin tasks.
Our team manages communication with students for sessions and courses—so you can concentrate on delivering exceptional flight training.
6. What benefits does this really present me?
There's no charge to join, no lead fees, and no membership fees. We provide a new flexible way to grow your instruction services.

7. Why do you ask for much information on the listing form?
We want to help students find the right instructor quickly. The more detail you provide, the easier it is for students to know you're a great match. You can always start with the basics and update the rest later.
8. Can I modify my instructor page later?
You can update your page, availability and pricing at any time.
9. Can I offer both in-person and online flight instruction?
Yes! Many instructors provide a mix of in-person and live online instruction to better serve students. Offering online instruction can help you reach students nationwide and supplement your income.
10. If I’m with a flight school, can I join Skyfarer?
Definitely. Some CFIs also choose to mention their school name on their page to give students more context about their experience and training environment.
