The Experimental Aviation Association (EAA.org) Chapter 696 will be hosting Young Eagles Rallys monthly on the second Saturday between April and October. These events offer a free flight in a general aviation airplane for kids between the ages of 7 and 17. These flights will be flown by our experienced and fully qualified volunteer pilots in their personal aircraft at no cost to the families.
Our Chapter is dedicated to exposing young people to the thrill and excitement of flight and helping to create an awareness of a career in aviation, including being a Pilot, FAA controller, Mechanic, Manufacturer, Administrator or many other successful and rewarding occupations in the industry. Through our Young Eagles program and workshops on building an airplane, we hope to engage and assist kids towards this goal.
Our events always begin with a fundraising Pancake Breakfast starting at 8am - so please come early and enjoy plain, chocolate chip or blueberry pancakes with juice and coffee!
The flying typically starts at 9:30am and till noonish, with first come first serve flying for registered youth. Walk-ins are accepted and are flown depending on availability.

All of our events are weather dependent - (but we'll still have pancakes!) - so watch for an email the day before for a cancellation if required. It’s typical for fog to prevail at the Knox County Airport from April through July, but we always remain optimistic!
This year we will have rain dates - the last Saturday of the month. We’ll post the rain dates event the day of cancellation.

Note: Parents and Legal Guardians are required to sign a liability waiver at the time of the event. Grandparents signatures are not allowable unless they are legal guardians. No drop-offs are allowed.

EAA 696 reserves the right to limit the number of registrants from each family to 2.
