Registration will begin at 7:30am. Be aware that we fly students in the order that they register, so the first to sign in at the registration table, the first students that get flown. A parent must be present to sign the student in.
We have breakfast coupons for the Flabob Cafe, which makes breakfast there about half-off.
Class begins at 7:45am. Students must be present for the class in order to fly. The class covers safety inside the aircraft and out, what to expect, how to continue on with your flight training, parts of the aircraft, etc.
Flights begin at 8:15am.
Parents are encouraged to watch students get buckled into the airplane, ask questions, take photos, etc., but must be accompanied by a Civil Aircraft Association member.
We generally only put one student in each plane, so that each student gets to manipulate the controls and share in the flying. We don't take parents flying, but you can ask about our adult version called Flying Start. The flight will last approximately 20 minutes. Students can ask as many questions as they like until the pilot needs silence to talk on the radios or concentrate on taking-off or landing.
There are t-shirts, merchandise and snacks available. Since we don't charge any money for the flight, we happily accept tips, which help us fund the next event.
