This aviation event is for youth ages 8-17. This event is one way to introduce youth to aviation and will answer some questions on how to become a pilot, as well as make you aware of other aspects of aviation. Most youth will receive an opportunity to actually fly the airplane. A parent or guardian is asked to attend the event with his or her child. Please register for a specific time slot to help spread out the attendees throughout the event. A 20-30 minute ground school will be held throughout the event and all Young Eagles are asked to attend this educational activity. The requirement of each youth is to bring enthusiasm and a willingness to experience a new opportunity. Even though the population in the United States is 340 million people, there are only 700,000 certificated pilots. This is only 0.2% of the US population!
