Recent events provide an important opportunity to return to the fundamentals of safe and responsible flight operations. This seminar will review what pilots need to know to operate safely and legally, with particular emphasis on procedures, operational considerations, and safety concerns at Whiteman Airport and within the surrounding airspace. Whiteman Airport Air Traffic Manager Will Hoyt and local pilot and flight instructor Michael Williamson will share practical information, local knowledge, and recommendations intended to help pilots improve situational awareness, reduce risk, and operate safely in the Whiteman Airport environment. Pilots, student pilots, flight instructors, aircraft owners, and interested members of the aviation community are encouraged to attend.
