This session will cover targeted Commercial Pilot Certificate (ASEL) checkride preparation topics of the candidate’s choosing.
We can discuss any topic from the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards where you feel like you could benefit from additional instruction and coaching.
I'm also happy to talk with you about what to expect during your checkride, checkride answer strategies, and common checkride preparation deficiencies I see in Commercial Pilot candidates.
Send me a message and we’ll set a time and topic to get you ready for checkride success!
Please view my profile for more information on who I am, as well as my comprehensive mock checkride services.

About the instructor
Hello, I'm Scott Kinney, Gray-Haired Checkride Prep Expert.
Nervous about an upcoming checkride? You’ve found the right instructor to help you! My passion is providing candidates with authentic, comprehensive mock checkride experiences and targeted checkride prep coaching.
As for “Who is the guy on the other end of the video?” - I’ve been flying since 2011 and teaching for a decade (CFI/AGI/IGI), including numerous in-person ground schools and thousands of hours of online lessons. My emphasis is on real-world flying and ground knowledge; and I believe that if you’ve received proper training and preparation, FAA checkrides should be just another flight.
In addition to providing flight and ground instruction, I am also an aviation writer and editor for two aviation publications, Cessna Flyer and Piper Flyer magazines. I have owned airplanes in the past, including a 1963 Piper Cherokee 180, and I continue to fly around the Pacific Northwest in whatever airplanes I can get my hands on.
