Comprehensive Commercial Pilot (ASEL) Mock Checkride
This session is a comprehensive mock checkride ground session at the Commercial Pilot (ASEL) level. Plan on 4.0 hours total time; 3.5 hours for the session itself and 30 minutes for the debrief. We’ll cover the following: • Candidate qualifications – including aeronautical experience and endorsements. • Checkride session – scenario-based discussion of topics from the Commercial Pilot ACS. Please see the video below for more details on the depth of this conversation. • Written test deficiencies. • Debrief – feedback on the good and the bad of our session. I have two goals with the mock checkride services I provide here at Skyfarer Academy. The first goal is to provide you realistic practice, using scenario-based questions drawn from the appropriate FAA ACS, and following a flow similar to that used by FAA Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs). Each exam I conduct is tailored to you, your airplane, your local airspace, and the certificate you seek. My second goal is to provide you an objective third-party assessment and actionable feedback which will help you pass your checkride. If you’re prepared, I’ll give you a vote of confidence that you can carry forward into your FAA exam. If you’re not yet where you need to be, I’ll tell you that, too, and I will provide resources to consult to bring your performance up to a checkride-ready standard. Due to the need to create a unique scenario and plan of action for each candidate, please book this session at least 48 hours out from today's date/time. I recommend booking the session for 7-14 days out from your actual checkride date. Please include the following in your initial scheduling request: • Your name • Your DPE’s name • Airplane make and model (e.g., Cessna 172S) • Airport where your checkride will take place (e.g., KONP) • Your weight in pounds • Any scenario that has been provided by your DPE (I’ll create one if you don’t have one already) • ACS/PLT codes from written exam report (e.g., CA.I.B.K3b)

I recently did my Commercial ASEL mock checkride with Scott K.. He was so helpful in my preparation for my checkride, giving me great feedback. We went over everything I needed (endorsements, logbook requirements, etc.) first, and it reminded me of a few things I had to do beforehand. He gave me honest feedback that really helped me go into my checkride with confidence. Really liked the experience overall and would book again!
