Structured Flight Training — Clear Path from Zero to Private
If you’ve been thinking about learning to fly but aren’t sure if it’s something you can actually do, that’s completely normal. Most people start in that exact spot—no experience, a lot of questions, and not totally sure where to begin. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a place to start. I’m a certified flight instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI), which means I’m trained to teach foundational flying, instrument skills, ground instruction, and multi-engine aircraft. Everything is taught step-by-step, at your pace, with safety and understanding as the priority from day one. When you begin training with me, the goal is to make things simple and clear. You’ll know what we’re working on, why we’re doing it, and what comes next. There is a structure behind everything we do, so you’re not just showing up and hoping you’re improving—you can actually see your progress as it happens. This is a structured path that takes you all the way to your Private Pilot License. I offer training for: Private Pilot (PPL) Instrument Rating (IR) IPCs and Flight Reviews Ground instruction (in-person or remote) I also have access to a Cessna 172. You don’t need to be “naturally talented” to do this. Most of it comes down to consistent practice and having someone explain things in a way that actually makes sense. My focus is making sure you understand what you’re doing and why—not just memorizing steps. That’s what builds real confidence in the airplane. Before aviation, I owned and operated a business for nearly a decade. This is reflected in how I teach: we are organized, communication is clear, and there’s a steady, consistent pace to training. If you’re someone who: Is starting from zero and wants a clear path, Isn’t totally sure if flying is “for you,” but wants to find out, Prefers structured, organized instruction over trial-and-error, reach out and we will see if we are a good fit. The easiest way to get started is a discovery flight. It’s very low pressure. You’ll get a feel for what it’s like, we’ll talk through how training works, and you’ll actually get to fly the airplane with me guiding you the entire time. During the Discovery Flight, you will learn how to preflight the aircraft, spend about an hour in the air (typically over Lake Texoma), and have the opportunity to take the controls with guidance throughout the flight. You’ll also receive a logbook, so your flight counts toward your training if you decide to continue. Discovery flights are $150. You’ll leave with a much clearer sense of whether this is something you want to pursue—and exactly what the next steps would look like. If you want to set something up or just have a few questions, feel free to reach out. We can set up a quick call or an introductory lesson and map out a plan. I’m here to help you take the first step when you are ready. 📍 Sherman / Denison, TX (North Texas Regional Airport, KGYI) ✅ Private Pilot Training (no experience needed) ✅ Instrument Rating ✅ Flight Reviews (BFR) ✅ Instrument Proficiency Checks (IPC) ✈️ Cessna 172 available or train in your aircraft
