Launched in 1992, the EAA Young Eagles program has dedicated over 30 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an aircraft.
It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. Today, some 2.5 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program. These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.

Let your child experience flight over the Springfield area by an FAA licensed pilot. You and your child(or children) will also get to explore the facilities of Lincoln Land Community College's Aviation program for aircraft mechanics, sit in and manipulate the controls of various aircraft and learn more about how airplanes fly. After their flight, they will become an EAA Student Member, have access to Private Pilot On-line Ground School, and much much more!
