DO NOT come to Spruce Creek without a Young Eagle Registration.  Spruce Creek is a very busy private airport with limited vehicle parking. For that reason we do not have a wait list or accept walk in registrations. DO NOT REGISTER  if your child has 5 or more Flights with any EAA Chapter or has received a flight in the preceding 45 days. Young Eagle flights are 1 on 1, One pilot with One young eagle.If, due to medical or special needs, the child requires a parent to fly with them we will attempt to accommodate based on Pilot acceptance and aircraft capacity. The Pilot has the final decision. Chapter 288 is following the EAA guidelines of "Quality over Quantity" and giving first time Young Eagles preference for flight opportunities. Only Parents or Legal Guardians may electronically register their child. The Parent or Legal Guardian that registers the Young Eagle MUST BE PRESENT TO SIGN AT THE EVENT.  ALL YOUNG EAGLES MUST ARRIVE AND SIGN IN BEFORE 9:15 am. An EAA Young Eagles Agreement to Waive Liability, Assume Risk and Indemnify may only be signed by a minor participant’s biological parent, legal parent or legal guardian.  Stepparents, aunts, grandparents, teachers, neighbors, etc. may not sign the agreement on the minor participant’s behalf. Doing so may have significant consequences. In addition, if the misrepresentation is discovered prior to flight, the minor participant will be denied the opportunity to participate in the flight.
