Chief Flight Instructor & Lifelong Educator dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment that facilitates student success ✔️ Program and curriculum developer with departmental vision and direction ✔️ Project manager who effectively uses resources to drive revenue and measurable results ✔️ Builds strong relationships with organizations through communication, trust, and remaining adaptable ✔️ Highly motivated leader with experience in hiring and training personnel Jason is a seasoned educator with a deep passion for aviation. Shortly after completing his bachelor’s degree in astronomy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst he became a member of the senior management team at the Children’s Museum in West Hartford, CT where he was responsible for the strategic oversight of programs and a $200K budget. His “shoot for the stars” approach to leadership promoted effective staff training processes, effective maintenance of equipment/technology, and project development techniques that boosted the recognition of museum offerings within the community. Later in his career, Jason became the Director of Floor Programs at the New England Air Museum. Enthusiastic about his new role, Jason got to work planning promotional material, building exhibits, and performing live aviation-based demonstrations to ensure his guests remained engaged throughout their experience. Behind the scenes, he remained busy building relationships with local educational and community outreach programs to enhance museum exposure in the local community. Today, Jason serves as the Coordinator of Planetarium Operations at the Glastonbury/East Hartford Magnet School and as a flight instructor at Berkshire Aviation. Both in the classroom and while airborne, Jason uses practical/experiential learning techniques to help his students not only understand the theoretical concept of the lesson, but also the reason behind its importance. In the future, Jason is looking forward to growing his career in aviation. His years of flying experience, combined with his skills as a project manager and program developer will make him a valuable asset to any aviation organization. When Jason isn’t flying or managing the simulated universe above, you may find him enjoying the outdoors on a bike ride, hiking, or reading up on aviation history.
