I have been flying gliders since 1988. I became a Certificated Flight Instructor, Glider in 2000 and have been the Chief Instructor for the Lake Elsinore Soaring Club ever since. I've expanded my role in soaring community by becoming a Glider, Designated Pilot Examiner for the Riverside FSDO. I've also attained several awards along the way including the most prestigious 1-26 Association Per Ardua Award as well as winning the Soaring Society of America Region 12 Most Active Instructor Award numerous times. I'm also an active participant in the General Aviation and Flight Instruction communities and maintain Life Membership in both National and Regional flying organizations. While I spend lots of time teaching and giving Practical Tests, I still manage to find some time to fly my own glider on occasion.
