Hello, I'm Hailey Z..
Hi! I’m Hailey and I’m looking forward to working with you. I am currently a First Officer for JetBlue, flying the Airbus 321 on transatlantic routes from Boston to Europe. I began my flying journey in November 2018. I spent 2 years in full time instruction as a Gold Seal CFI-I based in Arkansas, creating/teaching the ground school group class curriculum, and working my way up to the Assistant Chief. I have a 100% pass rate for students on both written exams and checkrides. I left that school for a 135 “bush flying” job in rural western Alaska. I flew the Beechcraft 1900 and Caravan to villages located in the Seward Peninsula, Kotzebue Sound, and St. Lawrence Island. Working my way back east for family, I accepted a position as a corporate pilot for a part 91 department based out of PA. We had a Gulfstream 450 and a Challenger 604. After a year in the corporate world, I decided to finally give the airlines a shot. All that to say, I have experience in multiple avenues that exist for careers (and hobbies!) in aviation. I left full time instructing in 2021, however I have kept up with online instructing to help students just like you succeed on written exams, oral exams, and checkride prep. I pride myself on being a patient instructor and ensuring comprehension no matter how many times or ways I need to explain concepts. I encourage students to reach out via text in between sessions when they have questions pop up while studying. My ultimate goal is to help you accomplish your goals while being an instructor you feel comfortable saying “I don’t understand” to and know we will figure it together. I strive to build relationships with my students and still keep in touch with many from my full-time instructing days. I spend most of my time on the East Coast but have a slightly unhealthy hiking/climbing addiction so I find myself out west as much as I can be! I’m looking forward to getting to know you!

Hailey and I had a great conversation about her current role in the airlines, as well as her experience as a CFI. She is very knowledgeable about aviation and excellent at delivering complex information. Looking forward to future conversations and strongly encourage other students to reach out to Hailey for their flight training needs.
