Chapter 441 of the Experimental Aircraft Association EAA will hold a Young Eagles flight rally at the Auburn Municipal Airport as part of the Annual Auburn Young Eagles Day event on Saturday, July 10th, 2027. Volunteer pilots will be providing free airplane rides to children and young adults ages 8 through 17.  Flights will begin at 10 AM and the last flights will depart at 3:40 PM.

Parents, please register for your children and young adults at eaachapters.org in advance. Registration will open on June 1st at 1am and will close when all flight slots are full. Last year, we flew 291 Young Eagles on 115 flights, so it is a busy day. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled flight and check in at the Registration Desk. Late arrivals run the risk that their seats will have been given to other people. The SAME PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN who does the online registration will need to be present at the flight rally to sign the required waivers. Pre-signed forms will not be accepted. GRANDPARENTS, STEPFATHERS, STEPMOTHERS, etc. do not qualify unless they are also the legal guardians.

WHEN REGISTRATION IS CLOSED: There is no waiting list until the day of the event, but it is likely registration will re-open as cancellations are received. Typically, this occurs three days prior to the event when the system issues confirmation e-mails to the parents, but it can occur at any time. However, due to cancellations or no-shows the day of the event, each year we fly on the order of about 80 walk-in Young Eagles who show up the day of the rally. We accept Young Eagles for a wait list on a first-come-first-serve basis on the day of the rally until 1 pm. Check with the on-site registration desk before about noon to increase your chances of flying as a walk-in.
