Additional Notes

Oregon Aero Academy has been training pilots in Oregon's Willamette Valley since 2015. We operate both Part 61 and Part 141 curriculum from two airports Albany Municipal (S12) and Eugene Mahlon Sweet Field (KEUG) and we're built around a simple idea: someone who wants to fly for a living shouldn't spend three years waiting for a schedule to open up. Training is one-on-one from start to finish. Every student works with a dedicated instructor and personalized ground school rather than sitting in a lecture hall, which is how our accelerated students hold a 7-week Private Pilot timeline and an approximately 11-month path from zero hours to Certified Flight Instructor. Our checkride wait currently averages about two weeks in a market where students routinely wait months for an examiner, that alone can save a career-track student an entire season. Training across two very different airports: Albany is non-towered with light traffic, so primary students get maximum repetition per hour six to eight landings in a single pattern lesson is normal. Eugene is a full commercial airport with a control tower, on-field approach control, parallel runways, and scheduled airline service, where students build genuine radio confidence and fly real instrument procedures in live traffic. Career Track students train at both, graduating with experience in the quiet valley strip and the airline field. Fleet: Three Cessna 172s (including a TAA-equipped 172 with Garmin GTN750 and GFC500 autopilot that satisfies the Commercial TAA requirement), a Cessna 150, a Piper Cherokee 180, a Piper Seminole twin with counter-rotating engines, and a One-G AATD approved for Private, Instrument, and Commercial credit. A Diamond DA42 joins the Eugene fleet soon. All aircraft are Part 141 maintained and IFR certified. Programs: Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Multi-Engine Add-On, CFI and CFII, and one-on-one ground school each available accelerated full-time or part-time self-paced. Our Full Time Career Track runs zero hours to CFI with a free Multi Instrument Commercial Add-On for students finishing within 12 months. Through a partnership with Purdue Global, students can complete an online bachelor's degree in Professional Flight or Aviation Management while they train. Financing options available. Albany and Eugene, Oregon.
