Looking for Other training near Soldotna, AK
I'm looking for first is a checkride-readiness evaluation: a flight plus a logbook review against the 61.129 requirements, so I can find out exactly what's left — remaining dual, an IPC, flight review, the commercial written retake, and how close I am to a checkride. A few questions: Are you available for commercial/checkride-prep work, and roughly what's her current scheduling? Is the Cessna 172M with the GNX375/GI275 panel the aircraft I'd use for the commercial and instrument work? What's current DPE availability on the peninsula for the commercial checkride? Rough hourly rates for aircraft + instructor so I can budget. I'm based in Homer, so Sterling/Soldotna is an easy drive. Happy to bring my logbook for review. Thanks very much — looking forward to getting back in the air.

Prior Experience
I completed most of my commercial training in Florida years ago — logged around 300 hours and trained the commercial maneuvers (chandelles, lazy eights, eights-on-pylons, steep spirals) — but never took the checkride. I also hold an older instrument rating. I've been out of flying for a while, so I know I'll need to knock the rust off and redo currency items.
