Join the Rose City Chapter of Women in Aviation International for its 12th annual Girls in Aviation Day! Aviation lovers of all ages are welcome, and that goes for supportive fellas as well.

Girls in Aviation Day is Women in Aviation International's worldwide celebration introducing girls and young women to aviation and aerospace careers through hands-on activities, aircraft displays, and time with women who fly, fix, and design aircraft.

When: Saturday, September 26, 2026, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM PT
Where: FlyIt Hangar at Grove Field (1W1), 632 NE 267th Ave, Camas, WA 98607 (Portland–Vancouver area)

SCHEDULE (from the event flyer; participants are volunteers, so subject to change)
• 9:00 AM — Early-bird arrival during set-up for pre-registered girls ages 15+
• 10:00 AM — Gate opens
• 1:00–2:00 PM — Break for picnic lunch and casual career panel
• 2:00 PM — Raffle
• 4:00 PM — Wrap-up

WHAT'S INCLUDED
• Positive female role models — meet pilots, helicopter pilots, instructors, mechanics, medical examiners and more
• FAA representatives
• A pink airplane... and maybe more
• Photo opportunities, VR and simulators, scavenger hunts, history and artifacts, and lots of surprises

SAFETY: This is an active airfield. All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 or older — no exceptions.
