Discovery flights are a popular way for individuals who are considering aviation as a hobby or profession to get a firsthand experience of what it's like to fly an aircraft. These flights are about an hour and are led by a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) who will provide guidance and answer any questions you may have. During the flight, the instructor will introduce you to the basic principles of flight and the aircraft's controls. You will also be given ample opportunities to take control of the aircraft allowing you to experience the thrill and excitement of flying while also gaining an understanding of the necessary skills required to become a pilot. Intro flights are a fantastic way for aspiring pilots to explore their interest in aviation without committing to a full flight training program. They are also an excellent opportunity to learn more about the flight training process and to meet with flight instructors to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. They also make for fantastic gifts for friends and family members! We offer a discovery flight bundle on both Cessna 172s and Cirrus SR20s which includes approximately an hour of actual flight time and an additional complimentary half hour of ground instruction where our CFI's will give you a tour of our facilities, planes, and full motion simulators before covering everything you'll need to know for the flight.
