Bay Area Flying Club is a flight training facility and flying club located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We offer flight training to all levels of pilots in the San Francisco Bay region. Our members enjoy the opportunity for fly-ins, free classes, and member gatherings organized by the Club. A pilot shop is also part of our operation, and offers supplies and materials necessary for flight training. Our Flight School is located on the Livermore Municipal Airport (KLVK). This is just outside the congested airspace surrounding the San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose Airports. Students learning to fly in Livermore rarely have to wait in line to take-off and can quickly begin their lesson or practice session. Compare that to other airports, where you have to fly away from the congested San Francisco airspace to practice areas. Livermore commonly has perfect flight conditions while facilities closer to the coast are socked in with fog, clouds, or rain. Our curriculum for learning to fly has been carefully developed over the last 50 years and, along with our skilled Flight Instructors, has helped more than 10,000 pilots gain certificates, ratings, or currency.
