Hi all! I’m a Commercial Pilot and CFI trained in the Pacific Northwest, where real weather and terrain shape pilots who think ahead and fly smart. I regularly fly my own Piper Cherokee 235 around Seattle, and bring significant real-world flying experience to my classroom. Before aviation, I spent years teaching and mentoring teams in the software engineering world, so instruction—explaining clearly, adapting to different learning styles, keeping students motivated—is something I’ve done professionally long before becoming a CFI. Ground knowledge is one of my strengths, and I make complex topics intuitive and practical. My teaching style is pragmatic and real-world-focused. I emphasize good judgment, building good habits, and what actually keeps you safe beyond the checkride.
