Aloha, I'm a long time Hawaii Island resident studying for Plan 61 Private Pilot Training. I just received my MedXpress third class certificate and I'm nearly 20% through ground school online. I do not have any hours of flight training yet. I'm looking for an estimate of hourly rates: wet + CFI. I'm looking for a total estimate at this time. I'm very keen to start flying and would like to estimate 2-3 trainings per month to fit my budget. I understand 1.5 hours is a reasonable training flight time. If I estimate 30 training flights I think this gets me in the ball park of 40-45 hours. So I think this will take 10-15 months to prepare for the Check Flight and Final. Hopefully I can get some months with 4-5 flights. Since I live in Hilo, I prefer ITO if that's an option. I appreciate your time and help. Thank you
