CFI, CFII, and MEI out of KAWO
I have been in aviation my whole life. My dad introduced me to aviation at only a few weeks old when he took me up in Cessna 172 out of Harvey Field. Spent most of my childhood flying around in small airplanes. Really started to become interested when I was 10 and attended aviation summer camps at the Museum of Flight. Spent a lot of time flying around on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Took my first flight lesson in an airplane a Cessna 152 when I was 10 with Regal Air at Paine Field, took a helicopter discovery flight at age 11 in Schweizer 300 with Snohomish Flying Service out of Harvey, took a seaplane lesson at 13 in a C172 at Kenmore Air. Started taking lessons in middle school with Snohomish Flying Service in my dad’s old 172, soloed at 16, got my private pilot certificate at 17. Did my high performance and complex endorsements soon after in a 182RG, got my instrument rating shortly after my private, and got it tailwheel in J3 Cub. When I was 18 I took my commercial check rides and earned my seaplane with Kenmore Air, flight instructor ratings at CFI Academy in California, and multi engine rating with Minot Aero Center in North Dakota. I also have my advanced and instrument ground instructor certificates and am a remote pilot as well. Most recently last year I got my multi engine instructor rating. My career in aviation has taken me all over the place as I spent time at the University of North Dakota working on an Aviation Safety and Operations degree which I am now doing online. I spent year working at CFI Academy teaching students working towards private, instrument, commercial, multi engine, and flight instructor ratings. I have flown to major aviation events including Oshkosh, Sun N Fun, and The Reno Air Races. These days I fly around with my dad in our Cessna 205 checking out local airports and going camping. My goal as a flight instructor is to see people accomplish their dreams of flight and to make safe pilots. I am always excited to see people accomplish their goals. Other than flying I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
