My connection to aviation began early, starting my flying journey at the age of 15 and achieving my solo flight just one year later. By 17, I proudly obtained my Private Pilot License. My initial pursuit of aviation excellence continued as I acquired my Commercial Single and Multi-engine Instrument Airplane Land ratings.
While life led me in other directions for nearly two decades, my deep-seated passion for flying rekindled about four years ago. Since then, I've been devoted to reacquainting myself with aviation knowledge and skills, successfully completing a Biennial Flight Review (BFR) and an Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC).
Dedication to Instruction and Service
In this new chapter, I have committed myself to sharing this passion and knowledge with future aviators. I have already obtained my Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI) and Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI) certificates and am currently preparing diligently for my Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Initial Practical Exam.
I also bring a strong background in service and aviation education through my involvement with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). I served as a cadet member in the late 90s and early 2000s and rejoined CAP about three years ago. I currently serve as my squadron's Aerospace Education Officer (AEO), a role that perfectly complements my goal of becoming a CFI and my dedication to fostering the next generation of aerospace leaders.
