My name is Cody Ortmann! I’m a CFI​,​ CFII​,​ and MEI with over 1​,​500 hours of total flight time and more than 1​,​200 hours of dual instruction given. I’ve worked with students from their very first lesson through advanced certificates and multi-engine training​,​ helping them build strong fundamentals and real-world decision-making skills. My goal is simple: develop safe​,​ confident​,​ and competent pilots who are prepared not just for checkrides​,​ but for a lifetime of flying. I have access to well-maintained Diamond DA40 aircraft at KMHR that are rented through FL510 and also offer instruction in owner-provided aircraft throughout the greater Sacramento region.
