I’m BJ—an airline pilot and instructor who believes good training starts with trust. I’ve spent my career in real airplanes, real weather, and real decision-making, not just checkride prep. I’ve had both good and bad instructors which has lead me to develop a method to teach with the mindset that competence matters more than box-checking, and judgment matters more than memorization.
