Hello, I'm Daniel M..
I started flying in 2006. On my flight path, I have trained at a few different flight schools under both part 141 and 61. I have flown a variety of aircraft, mainly Cessnas, Pipers, Diamonds and Grummans. I earned my private and instrument in Leesburg, VA, under the DC SFRA where I flew as a hobby. I was part of a flying club that flew volunteer flights with Air Care Alliance and Pilots and Paws. Here, I also spent several flight hours learning aerobatic maneuvers in a Decathlon. After deciding to become a professional pilot, I moved to Nashville, TN and earned my commercial, multi, and instructor certificates at Middle Tennessee State University. After completing the 141 program and training students for MTSU I chased my girlfriend to Knoxville, TN and began flying for a 61 school at DKX, where I currently teach. Before flying I worked as a wilderness skills instructor with youth groups and outdoor outfitting companies. Teaching has always been something I have been passionate about. From having worked as an instructor in different fields, I have a strong understanding that teaching is a skill that needs to be learned on its own apart from the skills being taught. Teaching as always been apart of my life and as such, flight instruction is something I want to do because it is something I enjoy doing.

I scheduled a 1 hour session with Daniel and it was great. For my current circumstances, this is what I needed. He is very knowledgeable and sent me some resources following our meet. I would recommend him.
