Welcome to the world of aviation and I would look forward to working with you, one on one, to successfully see you reach all of your goals as a pilot. I have had the pleasure of being a flight instructor for 32 years, located between NC and GA in the United States. Also during those years of flight training, I have held numerous other piloting positions including Part 135 charter, corporate aviation, and regional airlines, an appointed FAA safety pilot, and a maintenance test pilot. I have also taught and coached professionals in numerous other capacities including college athletics, law enforcement and emergency management operations. My training philosophy is simple: "Its all about the student and safety!" With my flight training program (Fly Georgia Aviation), you work with the same instructor and the same aircraft the majority of the time. I am not building time to "move on" anywhere as I already have over 8,000 hrs flight experience. My goal is to develop each student to their fullest potential as competent, wise, and savvy pilots who will enjoy their flight experiences and make good decisions in case of emergencies. I am based just NE of downtown Atlanta, GA and have access to numerous aircraft and airports although Gainesville, GA is my home base. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Georgia (Dahlonega, GA) and a Master's Degree from the University of Georgia (Athens, GA) and have scores of additional professional certificates for work in education​/​adult training​/​coaching and law enforcement​/​emergency management​/​EMT & rescue operations. I also served in the US Army Reserves. I am a coach and trainer at heart who was fortunate enough to get to fly, so please, come fly with me and enjoy the world of aviation as I will teach it to you! My fees are very reasonable and will be discussed during the first interview. Discovery flights and training are available in low and high wing aircraft with Fly Georgia Aviation.
