Hi. I am a flight instructor (CFI​/​CFII Helicopter and Airplane - Single and Multi ​/​Gold Seal Recipient) who works primarily out of Bracket airport in La Verne. I have been an instructor for years with an 89% first time pass rate with my students for all ratings, including CFI. People ask me, "when are you going to the airlines"? I get it, as a student, when you find an instructor you like, you want them as your instructor forever. Well, funny story. I got hired for the airlines, went to training and at week 4 of 6, I decided it wasn't for me. We can talk about that if​/​when we meet. I did realize something, that I knew going into it, and that was, I LOVE instructing. Its hard to leave something when you are good at it. I decided that I would rather help people reach their flight goals, whether it be for recreational flying or perhaps, like me one day, head to the airlines. That was my goal early on, however I decided that my talents could be better utilized instructing. Yes, I know I am a rarity and if you are lucky enough to find an instructor that loves teaching rather than an instructor that is instructing solely for hours to get to the airlines, you have found a winner. Instructing is my passion and I have many of letters of recommendations from previous students to prove it. So, long story short, if you are looking for an instructor that is passionate about his job (which I consider an honor) and who will be there through all your ratings, you have found him.
