About
Hello, I'm Razvan M.
I was 10 years old when I flew for the first time, and ever since I dreamt of becoming a pilot. When I turned 16, I started flying gliders and quickly realized that it would take a lot of work to pursue my passion and turn it into a career.
I would have never imagined at the time that I would end up teaching others how to fly, but fast forward a few years later, I became a cadet glider instructor pilot at the Air Force Academy. On top of flying in challenging weather and overcoming language barriers, this program taught me the importance of sound decision making and knowing your emergency procedures. I also learned the value of mentorship and solid stick and rudder skills, things that I carry into teaching powered aircraft.
I have now been a CFI for almost a year and have worked with students ranging in ages 19 to 65, from diverse nationalities and professional backgrounds. I truly enjoy sharing my passion for aviation with others, and continuously learning how to adapt my teaching style to different individuals.
I believe a good pilot is a curious pilot - always learning and improving, so looking forward I would like to explore aerobatics and pursue a helicopter rating one day.
